The zeolite rotor + RTO combined process is the mainstream technology for treating low concentration and large air volume in waste gas treatment. Since the direct combustion of low-concentration waste gas using the RTO waste gas treatment process requires the addition of a large amount of fuel such as natural growth gas, the operating cost is very high and it is not economically cost-effective. Therefore, it is necessary to concentrate the low-concentration waste gas and turn it into a high-concentration waste gas for combustion. This saves energy and reduces the size of the equipment. For example, a large equipment is required for 50,000 air volume waste gas, but the air volume of the waste gas after concentration will become very small. Generally, the concentrated air volume is determined according to the concentration ratio of the zeolite. For the current domestic zeolite, a large air volume of 50,000 air volume and low-concentration waste gas can be treated by only 3,000 air volume RTO equipment after adsorption and desorption, which saves costs and operating expenses.

zeolite rotor + RTO

Principle of zeolite wheel + RTO process:

1. Adsorption stage: useful waste gas is directly discharged after being adsorbed by the zeolite wheel. Zeolite molecular sieve can selectively adsorb according to the size and polarity of waste gas molecules due to the size of the pore size. Even if the concentration of waste gas components is very low, it still has a high adsorption capacity, and it still has a strong adsorption capacity at high temperature, which is not available in other adsorbents.

2. Desorption stage: The zeolite wheel always keeps a very slow rotation, adsorbs saturated in the waste gas treatment area, and desorbs the useful waste gas adsorbed in the zeolite by hot air purge in the production area. The temperature of the hot air is set according to the composition of the waste gas. The biggest feature of zeolite adsorption is that zeolite is non-flammable. It can maintain a high desorption temperature during desorption, so it can be applied to many waste gas components with high boiling points, which is not achieved by activated carbon adsorption + catalytic combustion.

3. RTO combustion stage: The zeolite wheel is actually a concentration device, which captures and enriches the waste gas molecules in low-concentration and high-volume waste gas onto the zeolite. When desorbing, the waste gas molecules can be blown out of the zeolite with very small hot air. At this time, the waste gas with a good concentration and small air volume can be directly entered into the RTO regenerative incinerator for high-temperature incineration. Since the exhaust gas concentration is high and the air volume is small, the use of RTO equipment with a very small air volume and a very low auxiliary fuel can achieve a good purification effect on the exhaust gas.

4. Zeolite rotor recovery stage: After high-temperature production, the zeolite rotor desorption area will make the zeolite temperature very high, which will make the adsorption effect worse. Therefore, the zeolite area that has been purged at high temperature should be cooled with a supplementary cooling fan. The cooled zeolite has the ability to adsorb exhaust gas again, and the exhaust gas is adsorbed repeatedly.
